Week 4

The main mould for the concrete has been removed and the area below the ground floor is now visible.
There are 30mm styrofoam pads under the concrete as the foundation will also serve as a heat retention block. The hot air from the roof is pumped down a duct and will heat this conrete. The air should flow to the underneath of all the rooms. The stored heat will slowly be released into the house through vents around the edges of these rooms. For more info on this system and how it works in the summer, see the OM solar link.

In the later pictures the concrete for the porch and the doma (lower part of the entrance hall) is visible. This is a lower grade concrete as it doesn't need the heat retention qualities. The hot air does not circulate here.
