The photos below are from Wednesday morning.
We had a super busy week again. It's now midnight on Friday and I'll be getting up early to transport the kitchen from Kaori's folks' place to the house. It's a 15 minute drive and will probably take around 4 trips. In the afternoon I'll put together what I can of the units, and do the rest with Scott on Tuesday.
This week we decided all of the paper and colours for the walls and ceilings. We also chose and ordered the lights, ceiling fan and porch tiles.
The outside of the house had its paint and render applied.
The kitchen worktops arrived.
We made a contract with the solicitor who will deal with the registration.
Internet and phone have now been applied for, too.
On Monday next week we'll meet with the water purification company to sign a deal with them - they come to maintain the tank. This will enable us to apply for the subsidy from the government - should be 411,000 yen.
The railings on the deck - not yet cut to size.
The finished walls in our bedroom
